The Dogue Shop’s mission is to educate, through positive reinforcement, enrichment, and behavioural management, animals and the people who care for them. My objectives are to promote the human-animal bond by establishing and maintaining a healthy physical, mental and spiritual relationship with your pet.
My services consists of building positive relationships between people and their animals in order to prevent or intervene on an existing behaviour problem. My approach is to balance or re-balance your pet's cognitive and emotional abilities so you can better live with one-another. I achieve this through positive training techniques and relationship building activities.
I am currently a Concordia University student and will graduate next year as a family therapist. This will allow me to work with both human and animal species. Furthermore, Concordia University, along with the help of other renowned researchers, is guiding and supporting my research on feral dog appeasement and avoidance signals for my book.
Teaching is another of my favorite activities. Subjects covered revolve around animal behaviour, animal-assisted therapy, canine language, wolf management, and doga. However, I also teach about nutrition and relationship building.
Finally, I would like to stress an important point. I am NOT a veterinarian, shelter, or rescue organisation. I know many good organisations and can give out names, but ultimately, I do not take dogs in or help people give them away.
Thanks for doing it Dogue style!
