Private consultations are done in your home. The assessment is a two part procedure, first you are asked to fill out the C-BARQ Test, then write your expectations concerning your dog's long term goals. Your expectations should be written individually, and this for every member of your family. A typical consultation consists of a two hour long behavioural, environmental and personal assessment, fallowed by the implementation of the behaviour modification protocol. A training session and question period usually conclude the consultation. Each case being different, I require further information before discussing a case and making an appointment.

Consultations, conferences, and seminars, are held in the Greater Montreal (Canada) region. Conferences and seminars outside the GM area are possible as well. Please do not hesitate to contact me for details and travel arrangements.

I clicker train, which means I use positive reinforcement methods. Don't be surprised if I ask you to not feed your dog before my visit. Many good books, and web sites, talk about clicker training; therefore, I will not elaborate on the matter. Enrichment also plays a part in my training program. Yes, even domestic animals need to be stimulated mentally !!! Enrichment is a process by which an animal interacts in his environment and benefits from this psychological stimulation. If you wish to discuss enrichment for domestic animals, I will be more then happy to answer your question personally. I would like to stress a point, I do NOT teach obedience classes. With her unique and interactive approach, come meet an animal behaviour specialist and family life educator student from Concordia University. During this therapeutic event you will visit and interact with Park Safari's wolves, observe the pack, learn about their behaviour, and howl with the wolves after hours*. Need I say more?

The price of the session includes a visit of Park Safari, wolf interaction seminar, pack observation time, howling with the wolves at sun set*, wolf interaction, and access to a wealth of information regarding the species. In March 2011 the French television chanel TV5 approached me to film a wolf animal-assisted therapy episod for their mini-series "Les Guérisseurs". I said yes and in July 2011 we filmed the wolf animal-assisted therapy episod in collaboration with the Centre Jeunesse Emploi Centre-Ville and Park Safari. You can watch the episod on line (French). The difference between a conference and seminar is length and depth. Seminars are smaller in size which allows for more in depth learning. Consider conferences as a lecture and seminars as a course. No matter which format you wish to attend, or organise, these events are fun, interactive, and highly educational. Various subjects can be covered during a conference; dog language, dog training, psychological issues like emotional projection, wolf vs. dog behaviour, and so forth. Depending on the subject covered, the format can be adapted. Seminars are day long events filled with, questions, examples, demonstrations, electronic presentations, food, and dog kisses. For those who wish to organise a seminar, please note each event is adapted to satisfy your particular needs. They can last a few hours, or a weekend, all depends on your expectations and requirements.
